in a $2 game I will be calling for a flop at least but you are right to play it safe and live to play another hand

Why would we call to fold 60% of the time?

With no reads, easy fold.

This is one really bad 3bet by the button. I would neither call nor 4bet this kind of size. Make a note, fold, move on.

Ya that 9x 3bet sizing is ridiculously large theres no way in hell you call that vs an unkown opponent. But definetely remember he likes to 3 bet BIG on the btn and if he does it again i would probly call if i could get the hand heads up. Because honestly this sizing looks like a semi bluff it looks like he doesnt want a call and is hoping you will fold while at the same time still having showdown value maybe a hand like 22-TT

I take that back.if he does it again and you have any reasonable amount of hand strength i would just 4bet shove. A flat call with a pot that big means hes shoving anyflop.so you might as well 4bet jam and try to see what he shows down and if he folds you know now that hes just 3bet bluffing a crazy amount

I would call... Really, I am telling the truth here. The flop will tell you so much. If no ace or queen (or heart draw) shows up and BTN keeps aggressive you can then mitigate the loss. :)

to get the reputation that once you raise, you are not gonna p***y out like the tight nits who think they are 'pro'.

I hope your math is good. So try to analyse what you said in a mathematical point of view & see how much you are winning or loosing when you keep on doing this.
As I said before, nobody cares in the end that you aren't afraid to show your teeth or that you aren't afraid to go to war making insane hero calls.
In the end all that matters is profiting & making money. Table image matters but don't try to satisfy your ego.
