Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 11/7/3

Felt like villain was bluffing. But I'm still starting in poker and I was unsure about how to read the situation... Any help is appreciated!

UTG is a nit. He hasn't played a single hand out of 12, so you can assume his range is going to be VERY tight, especially UTG.

Call or preferably even fold preflop, imo. Raising is suicide vs someone who likely only plays QQ+/AK here.

Also, if you're going to play shortstacked, you need to be aware that you'll need to be even tighter, willing to get it in with practically every hand you play. AQ is not a good hand in this particular situation vs a nit UTG.

Felt like villain was bluffing.

I'm highly doubt, i think villain have hands like QQ/JJ/KK, probably value-beting with two pairs you are in trouble, yeah range very tight.

I'm not sure what conclusions we can really draw over an 11 hand sample size.

You should definitely not be 3 betting this hand vs this villain with the information you have. No you can't call.

1. Play with a full stack
2. Call with AQo vs UTG open
3. Fold to a pot sized bet with 2 over cards

No need to get tricky at this level yet. Work on your preflop ranges and play tight(er)

w/o much info, but assuming hero might be on the tighter side, you're much better off calling pre-flop. As played, there's no way you're shoving on that flop w/ zero fold equity multi-way. That's a highly -EV long term play here.
