Hey guys, played this hand a few days ago. The villain was like VPIP 10, and PFR 5 ish. Basicly only playing premium hands.

poker stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $2.45 (122.5 bb)
BB: $2.08 (104 bb)
MP: $1.69 (84.5 bb)
CO: $2.03 (101.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $3.79 (189.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with As Tc
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.06, SB folds, BB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.13) Ts Ks Js (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.04, BB calls $0.04

Turn: ($0.21) Jh (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.14, BB calls $0.14

River: ($0.49) 5d (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.47, BB folds

Results: $0.49 pot ($0.02 rake)
Final Board: Ts Ks Js Jh 5d
BB mucked and lost (-$0.24 net)
Hero mucked As Tc and won $0.47 ($0.23 net)

I decided to bet pot here because I had put him on Ax, most likely AK or AA because he didnt play any other hand yet. Thoughts ?

I probably should've bet more on the flop. Other then that I'm pretty happy.... Please be gentle :D

yes, bet more on the flop.

also, villain has checked and called every street, so when you get to the river if you want the pot, id bet like .25 and fold to a check raise. we can't really value bet here, only as a bluff, and against someone who just check-calls a lot, id either bet smaller to limit how much im losing/try to take the pot, or just check back.

I like bombing the river. Any FD will fold most of the time anyway but we can fold out 1 pair hands almost always when we bomb.

Yeah that is the reason why I did it. + I put him on AK/ KK because he only plays premium hands:cool:

Not sure if I am too happy about a turn bet. It looks like you could be drawing dead. Even a river bet is risky. Based on his tightness I'd be surprised if you get any more money out of him if you had hit your flush on the river. Maybe KQ with the Q being a spade, but I think he has a lot of full houses in his range and you are in bad shape. When the river misses you have to hope he has AA or AK otherwise he'll call. Even with AA or AK he might not fold.

If you give him a preflop calling range of roughly:
77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,AJo+,KQo

He'll call a flop bet with:
TT+,AJs+,KTs+,QTs+,AQo+,KQo

He'll call a turn bet with:
TT+,AJs+,KTs+,QJs,AQo+,KQo

He'll call a river bet with:
KK, JJ-TT,AJs+,KJs,QJs,AQo+

Not much of his range is folding a turn bet. Pretty much QTs. Also you have to assume some probability that he gets married to AK or AA, because that happens a lot. I am aware that in my range assigned above some of those hands are likely raising on one street or another so it is a bit off, but I think that his range is still way too strong to be bluffing at. Slowplaying a fullhouse is not unpopular in spots like these at 2NL.

I think a better line would be to bet the flop bigger, check the turn and go for value if you hit your flush. You are much more likely to get value from a flush on the river if you check the turn. If you miss on the river then I believe you should just give up.

if he is tight
his river range is not hard to estimate

his combos in the river is very few:
by my etimate

his river combo is round:

AT, KQ, KT, QT
your hand AT is

you lost to KQ,KT on showdown
you split pot with AT
you win QT

but if you bet here
he fold, most KT, AT, and will crying fold KQ- depends on how good is that tag. and definitely fold QT.

therefore your bluff is pretty good to fold two high top range of his showdown level, which you are potential to lose.

good play.

KK turned a full house . So i am guessing this is a miss click.

Also this is not a semi - bluff as the title suggests. Miss click again ?? .. River is the last card - remember .. ??

Good bet - nice hand !! :p

Lol a flat call OOP in the blinds is so unlikely to be AA/AK it's ridiculous, most likely smaller pairs or suited broadway, it's fine to bet the flop with NFD. After board pairs on turn I most likely try to get to showdown and fold if villain shows any sign of strength.
