Honestly I dont like the preflop call, I mean A8 plays very badly vs tight opening ranges of the zoom poker.
Even though my (little) zoom experience suggest that a min open raise is not that strong (I would have 3betted instead - JUST because the 2x open is weak so I guess I could take the pot down on the postflop).

As played preflop, it's wp imho-.

Why are you floating 3 streets with two pair? Re raise flop, don't be a station, you beat most of his range and your kidding value a lot of the time here

Be aware I am not a cashgamer but I don t really like your line (in my humble opinion).
Raising the flop here Villain folds all the stuff he's cbetting that we crash, he might call the Aces but wont shove anything fake. A flop raise face-up our hand nmw. If Villain think (zoom NL2 (???)), he could shove the chips in the middle guessing a straight draw (too much overthinking ainec)
A the turn raise looks too strong, I guess.

Thoughts??

I'd 3-bet pre-flop and take the initiative. I'd raise the flop as well. You're not getting more action on this kind of flop, unless your opponent has an A or K, so might as well maximize your value. I'd raise on the turn, and the river also.

hello nice to see the hands.
Pre flop honestly think there is a mistake, you got to play 3 bet or fold pre flop, I lean more to the fold here, greetings

Keep in mind.... Players at these stakes are not actually thinking at all about what we have most of the time. Maybe you would fold everything we beat here, but that's not necessarily the case. These guys see a pair of aces and they are not going anywhere, re raise or not. It's just a way to get value.

He shouldn't be stationing and John is right approximately 100% of the time lol. With that being said... Idk.... 3 streets of re raises John? How often do we have the best hand on the river taking that line

You definitely have to raise the turn to see where you stand in the hand(would've raised the flop). Obv he wasn't going anywhere anyway(if you raised the flop) being he was the initial raiser, even though you had position, he was the aggressor in the hand. With that said, he was getting to the turn and drawing out on you..... That's poker.

I think the comments above already established that flatting PF is bad. 3x+ 3bet - great fold equity and initiative on flop.

Now, I would also would have reraised flop. I don't think we fold out all of his range that we crush (esp. at these stakes).
A9-AQ would defo continue [Roughly 30+ combos] (depending how weak the villain, maybe even worse Ax, and maybe pocket pairs 99-JJ).
Even if he had 88, AA, KK, AK it's only 11 combos.

Since Hero is IP, I would have checked Turn and called the river. That is if he doesn't decide to donk turn (after hitting 2P on Turn). In which case, I'd be inclined to C/F

Any comments on this reasoning are really welcomed.
