I think I should have raised turn as there are quite a few cards that I don't want to see on the river. Agree? Or is check OK on turn to induce another bet on River.

The mistake imo was calling preflop. Even if you flop Top pair medium kicker, are you really happy with it if your opponent keeps up the pressure? Or even if you have the best hand, are you gonna be able to get paid by this guy?
As played, the flop was also not very good, do you have any read on your opponent that he will pay you off if you hit your 8 outs draw, if not, you shouldn't call.
On the turn, yes, you should raise, as said if the board pairs or even if he has AJ (unlikely) you will be in a bad spot.

Good call with JT from button in 5 max, flop check call is also good. About turn - I would play it the same, UTG looks strong, we dont now his style of play, if he play tight unlikely he bet turn with AJ, most like he had top pair top kicker, aces or even set; your raise on turn can scared tight player, I agree there are quite a few cards that we don't want to see on the river. You play this hand well.

You played this just fine imo, the call is a little loose, I'd prefer it suited just to give you that extra way to win but this hand flops as good as most.
He is aggressive so rope a dope him and just let him keep betting, you only need to raise the turn if you think he might check on the end but here he is certainly just going to keep betting.
Aggressive players bet hard to test you with their full range and raising lets them know when they are beaten so I don't give them the extra information.

Perfect play. You were probably behind all the way to the turn where you spike the nuts. The villain is fully pot committed and I would expect them to call your river raise.

i don't mind the call preflop...if you raise, you can get reraised and face a very difficult decision.

the flop...i dont mind the call here either...you have 8s and Qs for your straight after all.

the turn...your call here has its ups and downs.... it disguises your made straight very well, and will induce villain to bet the river with AK, 2 pr etc. The board isn't too wet...only 2 diamonds to worry about...but oppo's line maybe suggests a range of AK/KQ/KJ...77/99/KK/AA...maybe even QQ/JJ/TT if they put you on diamonds or A9 maybe.

the river...unless you have been sucked by AJ you are a winner...but oppo's line doesn't smell of AJ, unless they are very Lag ( a la Durrr)

your main question about the turn....i like your call here...if you raise you can only be called by a set , a fishy 2 pr, or a very loose flush draw....but these stakes are micro...and not so many folks here think so deeply maybe.

I like your call to trap and induce the river bet frop a weaker holding.
