Villain stats 44/3 but I had only 20 hands on him.
I am wondering whether I had the correct odds to call the shove here. When he shoved I thought he must have AA/KK/QQ/JT/AQ/KQ, now I see that possible (but unlikely) other hands are 99 and 88. Due to the lack of preflop raise, I thought the most likely hand was JT. I called hoping to fill up.
I'm not very good at working out pot odds, especially in the heat of the moment but I guess a simple calculation like this could have been done. I have 4 outs to hit on turn or river, so using 2-4 rule, I have 16% chance of hitting (~5/1 odds). It cost me 1.10 to win a pot of 3.10 (~3/1 odds).
I think that's about right?? Does this mean the call was not profitable? And how do you factor in the possibility that he actually does have a weaker hand like QJ or TT?
