SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Ks 8s
fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, BB calls 1 BB

Flop : (4.5 BB, 2 players) 4s 2s 4c
BB bets 3 BB, Hero raises to 6 BB, BB calls 3 BB

Turn : (16.5 BB, 2 players) 7h
BB checks, Hero bets 5 BB, BB calls 5 BB

River : (26.5 BB, 2 players) As
BB checks, Hero bets 13 BB, fold

Hero wins 25.3 BB

I'm curious peoples thoughts on the raise on the flop, maybe too aggressive?

Also the weak bet on the turn, perhaps a check would have induced a bluff on the river?

Bet more on the turn. 5BB into 16.5BB = zero fold equity.

You also might want to slow down with a flush draw on a paired board, especially against the BB whose range is virtually limitless against a preflop min-raise.

^^^The fact that it's fast fold or not doesn't have any bearing on this hand.

Anyways, I would raise to 8-10bb on the flop. As played your turn bet is too small as well. River seems fine though you could probably go a bit smaller to get calls from 88-TT.

Forget the "we have overs" part lol. You have K8. If a king comes we fear being outkicked. If an 8 comes we fear overpairs. You have a 2nd nut flush draw. Thats about it. But if we hit we want to have a big pot. Thats why we bet more. And no, if the river blanks and you don't hit, just check fold because he's not calling two streets with air enough and we rep like nothing at all on this baord when the flush doesn't come.
