$2 NLHE 6-max: Overpair but I think Im behind, Really need help with hand ranges please!

Full Tilt - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 53 BB (VPIP: 42.53, PFR: 12.07, 3Bet Preflop: 6.15, hands: 179)
Hero (SB): 103 BB
BB: 34.5 BB (VPIP: 9.09, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 11)
CO: 167.5 BB (VPIP: 30.59, PFR: 16.47, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 85)

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T<font color='black'>♠</font> T<font color='red'>♥</font>

CO raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, CO calls 6 BB

Flop: (19 BB, 2 players) 5<font color='red'>♦</font> 7<font color='red'>♥</font> 9<font color='black'>♠</font>
Hero bets 8 BB, CO raises to 16 BB, Hero calls 8 BB

Turn: (51 BB, 2 players) 9<font color='red'>♥</font>
Hero bets 14 BB, CO calls 14 BB

River: (79 BB, 2 players) 7<font color='black'>♣</font>
Hero checks, CO bets 128.5 BB and is all-in, fold

CO wins 75.5 BB

So Im trying to work on my hand ranges, Pre-flop he raised and called a reraised so probably 77-QQ, AJ,AQ, KQs. Does that seem reasonable? I assume he'd likely shove with AA,KK or possible AK facing a 3B.

Flop comes, shouldn't really connect a lot with over cards so I Cbet. Gets min raised. A little confused. He's not trying to get rid of me with a check-min raise.
So Im thinking a set is likely, or JJ,QQ. Again is that a reasonable assumption?

Turn bet was a bit stupid, Im almost definitely behind. I think at the time my reasoning was that he may be floating with two overs and that would get rid of him, or he might think I have AA,KK (believable with my play up to then) and fold JJ,QQ. Anyway, when he calls Im sure he has the range I had specified after the flop.

Just let go on the river. I feel so retarded after these hands.

When I review hands like this it becomes pretty obvious that I was behind, and shouldn't have bet the turn. My problem is that that is my main leak. Ill stick in an extra bad bet like that or call a bet on the flop or turn when I know Im most likely well behind and end up not making showdown on a reasonably big pot. I think its holding me back from being a fairly big winner at the 6-max micros.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I think I'm going to start a thread for my micros mission soon and make a challenge to get up to the 10/25c!

Thanks all!

This doesn't seem unreasonable, but has he done anything in the 85 hands you've seen that might suggest adjusting this range? For instance, if he has been 3bet a few times and has always folded, it suggests his calling range is tighter.

Flop comes, shouldn't really connect a lot with over cards so I Cbet. Gets min raised. A little confused. He's not trying to get rid of me with a check-min raise.

At 2nl, it's possible he thinks his small C/R will get you to fold given your bet size might suggest to him that you have say AK. The question is how likely he is to be thinking this way. That said, it does seem more likely he has a hand and is ahead.

Fwiw, I'd bet 10-12, not 8.

Having put him on the range you did, why are you calling? The pot odds are decent plus you have some implied odds. However, you're drawing to two outs, and since you think betting the turn on a blank was poor, you should check instead. But if you do that, you'll only get to see the river if he doesn't bet a decent amount.

This means you're calling his C/R with two outs and, quite possibly, only one chance to hit them. It's a matter of opinion as to whether the implied odds are sufficient to call, but the more important matter here is your thought process and whether you recognized that the implied odds were quite marginal.

i think he's almost always going to 4bet with QQ+ so i think we can rule them hands out pre, make the cbet around 10bigs post, 8bigs is a weak bet into a 19big pot always look to bet a little over half pot, that check min raise is the kind of play i use to do when i thought someone was cbetting with missed A highs to try and take it down so don't be afraid to test the water and 4bet to gather more information on his hand, he could easily of called your 3bet pre with hands like A9s, A7s, JJ, any pair, but just 4bet find out where you're at now rather than having to keep guessing, he definitely could have a set here but just put in that 4bet and you'll find out, if your 4bet gets flat called you can almost always assume he's holding on with top pair, or he is trapping with two pair or a set so at this point we should be playing to try and get to a cheap showdown, yeah you definitely shouldn't bet the turn considering he just re-raised you, the 9 hits and you're doubting your hand so i'd prefer to either check/call, check/fold there, you didn't play it too bad mind, i've seen worse. good luck.

Well, he could be slow-playing AA and KK here as well, so you can't completely rule those hands out. C-bet 2/3 of the pot, 10-12BB instead of your pity 8BB bet. When I get raised in these situations, I will either 3-bet or fold. Calling is not going to get you anywhere because you have very little to improve and your opponent most likely will continue betting and calling those down is going to cost way more than a single 3-bet. If I get 4-bet I lay the hand down, if he calls I try to see a cheap showdown, so I check the turn and see what he does.

The only hand you were beating on the flop was A9. The turn brought a second 9, so you're only snapping off bluffs here which aren't very likely in micros.

I don't quite understand why did you donk the turn? Do you expect him to raise with second pair?
