Btn joined the table few hands ago, I have no reads on him.

It's 2NL, so he can call my c-bet with any pocket pair except jj-aa that he 3 bet with , eights 78 89 8T 8J 8Q K8 A8
queens Q9 QT QJ QK (AQ likely 3 bet)
and all suited aces to make a backdraw
plus with open -ended 9T.

TURN check-check

River queens full of eights on the board.

He can only win with higher pocket pair(unlikely because no 3 bet preflop)
and quads Q8 Q9 QT (QJ less likely because i got blockers) and QK, (16 combinations of queens in total)

I guess he can call my overbet on the river with all calling range on the flop.
THerefore there is much more worse hands that he can call with than hands that got my beat.

What do you think, well played ?

1. Badly played.

2. Villain called us pre. we can take out KK AA

3. 2 means our JJ will be good most times.

4. Play more aggressively because when the board pairs we tend to get less fold equity and get more value from medium pocketpairs Ax type hands.

5.When the board pairs up twice I don't mind the check on the turn unless we think villain will still continue with Ace or King type hands or medium pairs.

6.Jamming is pretty much saying call me on the river with your better hand, fold me with your worse hands.

We generally don't be too afraid of Queen type hands. But I think if we do bet the river we are folding to a raise. I don't like betting hands in general where we can't stand a raise though.
