To be honest I considered a min raise. My problem is that passive players tend to donk sets and if he shoves we're a 40% dog according to PokerStove. I'm not sure I'd be happy to call a shove from a passive player without the right odds
which I think a min raise would not give me. In other words, min raising here could be that weird "raising to know we are at" and I really don't know where we are at!
On the other hand a set is a very small % of his range and he never put me on a difficult position. Don't remember ever getting shoved or raised by him and although I was multitabling I never saw much aggression from him.
Let's say that he had no draws, only one pair or higher. I thought at the time that if he had no draws, only a made hand he would call either a raise or a shove and I'd expect to be ahead that range. I just stoved it and we are 60% ahead.
Real time we can't do this stuff that's why I posted. Calling seems out of the question. What will he call with? Are we ahead of his calling range?
