LOL you checked on the flop and called the all in? The second he went all in you should have had him on an ace. This is a bad play with KK and a huge leak if this is how you play it.

This is just a bad spot. It really hurts to fold KK, but once he moves in, you have to let him take it. You are getting just slightly better than 2 to 1 pot odds to make this call. (~2.2 to 1). Now i have to think he DEFINITELY has the ace here more than 65% of the time. Unless you have stats or a read that tells you he will donk off without the ace here, you just have to lay down....I usually play full ring games so the dynamics are a bit different. However, I think you should have 4bet all in. I know you want the most value from your KK, but I have to think that if the villain is going to commit 40% of his stack preflop....He will most likely commit 100%. If he is just on a steal from the CO, he is not going to call the 75 anyway. ( Not that it would have made a difference....He still would have won.lol)

I figured i'd check and induce bluffs as well and open his range. A lot of PP would shove to get the fold.

You can let him have this one. Even QQ caught up. If he's turning JJ into a bluff just tip your hat.

Though bad loss, I rather put him all in on his raise pre.

On the flop, you cant do much because of limited stack for both.

Think about his 4 bet flat calling range. Villain 3 bet you.

So we're looking at the standard 3 betting range (AK, QQ, KK, AA)

You are only splitting the pot with one of those hands. The other 3 hands have you dominated.

Not being result oriented: in the dark it's a Check/Fold to allin. Even a set of Qs have you crushed. Even if the villain is loose and 4 bet called with AQ you're still in bad shape. FOLD!

If you want to go allin on the flop, go allin preflop

Best way to save money is stop doing bluff catching. this is definitely bluff catching as any decent villain who calls you 4bet has you beat here.

Your 4bet is poorly sized here.

I would rather have seen you just jam than make it this size.

The reason for this, is that jamming will actually look weaker to most players than this size, which pretty much screams we have AA/KK and does nothing to disguise our range.

The A,Q flop is pretty much the nut worst flop for us, so I think check/fold is the line but I understand why you called because he shouldn't have too much Ax in his range here.

We block AK pretty damn well, AQ is blocked a little by there being a A and a Q on the board but what is he bluffing with? Players, IMO aren't in the habit of turning Qx or KK into a bluff often in this spot but it's emotionally hard to find the folds here.
