Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 18/16/0.5

Was this hand played poorly? I value towned myself again. was a x/c a better line on the river? i put villain on a flush draw as it was a 4 way pot and i dont think hed be calling with anything less than a set or a nut flush draw but his check on the turn made me believe that i was good here, hence the river bet. Also any feedback about me DONKING the flop here would be highly appreciated. do we donk flops in these situations?

villain is running 18/6 over 46 hands

I tend to be nitty in this situation. 5-handed on a monotone flop with no redraw, I'd c/f this flop, maybe c/c a small flop bet, but give up if more than 1 person shows interest, obviously folding to any real bet anywhere. We're not really playing this hand to put a lot of money in with 1 pair.

Fold pre-flop, bad reverse implied odds OOP. I would also just check/fold flop to a bet above half pot.

1) I'm not folding pre. And I'm giving serious thought to squeezing given how much dead money is in there.

2) I agree with Baudib that we're not looking to put in a lot of money with one pair, but I'm not as nitty as he is either.

3) I think you played this about right. The only thing I would do differently is to check/call the river, and even then I'm not sure. I'd expect most villains to bet their draws on the turn, so I kinda doubt that villain has air on the river. But anytime a super drawy board runs out dry, I wanna allow air to bluff.

yea i figure to check call river was the best move. i didnt think it out too well.

But the donk bet here is good right?

I'm cool with it if there's a fish in there. Otherwise, you're going to get raised off your hand by a draw pretty often (which is a small disaster). So the donk bet is "eh".

I would fold preflop since I really hate playing OOP with such a hand.

Either donk or check/fold flop, depending on players (any extreme calling station and forget donking).

If you donk, you gotta fire 2 barrels (half pot each) to have a chance to get rid of weak made hands and weak draws. If you plan to bet or chk/call river, firing on the turn is a better idea.

P.S. Consider that I am not really great but I do play 2nl :D

You don't bet to make weak hands and weak draws to fold.
