$2 NLHE 6-max: JJ Facing alot of aggression on the turn
Well there was this one player, I had to play this hand this way against him....I figured if I bet out at best case they just call, but if I act weak then he will spazz out against me, so is it ok to let him/her spazz out or it really doesn't make any difference at all because of the limit I'm at? I didn't want to win the minimum which is what I figured I'd have won if I had just lead out on the flop+turn btw...
FYI if your all wondering why I choose to C/R the flop rather then lead out myself on the flop (As I stated, by leading out on flop against him/her, they would've just called me down), but I figured by check raising the flop, they will call more on all sorts of odd ball hands...
Then on the turn, I could've donk shoved A.I on the turn and I would've won it right there and then, but I thought by doing this I only win the minimum for this strong hand against this player...So I once again checked/knowing that more then likely they will do something stupid...The plan worked out well this time but my question is, is it a well thought out plan or a poorly thought plan that happened to work out this time (Or did it), could I actually be in trouble here?
Should I just stop thinking about making such maneuvers against these players at this level and just play straight up, and be happy that I just win the minimum at a time? Cuz they could've potentially checked back the turn since I did show such aggression on the flop, but I didn't think they would ever call a shove on the turn unless they had a set/trips/boat?
Yet this OTT bet makes no sense at all, did I happen to get out played? Am I in trouble, should I just fold? Should I shove?
FYI I don't see a purpose to calling as there are alot of river cards that potentially have us in trouble, and I'm not including an over pair in his range at all as it just doesn't add up at all for this player to have an over pair QQ+in his holdings (Not saying it ain't possible, yet very unlikely given the action on the flop)...
So the only hands I'm really worried about is 99/44/A4s/77 other than this I'm not too worried about anything else...
So, what hands do we give this player, that we beat? And should I fold the turn to this player
