Ok, so I've been here vs this guy on multiple other tables...I know he's seen me showdown with a-lot of "marginal" hands:) ...So I know this move is well over due to happen...I also realize (he seems to see me as a LAG, how just CBETs pretty dry boards, in order to steal, or so he thinks).

So now, me vs him vs another player..

The BB isn't really an issue tbh, he's the real issue (the btn) I'm having in the hand against...

So I knew before I even bet that he wasn't never gonna flat vs me...So how did I know? Well because, he's never done that vs me before and I just felt over all the time I've played vs him that he was gonna try something, and the flop is well dry enough to actually attempt it on (vs a player that he sees as a player that just CBETs way too often to ever really have a hand in these situations  )..

What I'd like to know is, If I flat his re-raise, than what to do on turn if it's a brick? Should I just 3bet right here and now and fold to a 4bet? Should I just 3bet jam? (I really didn't see a point in 3bet jamming other than it lets me see what he has at a very costly price:eek: , if I were to be wrong)

So for reference how do I handle players like this? Should I just leave the table vs them:eek:

I don't know, but I think a Q very very likely from a 14/9 when he's raising you on the flop. I totally don't think that this is a flush draw. I think he's protecting against a flush draw. I think you are beat. I think fold is your best move here. Just wait for a better spot.

I think its really good that you're looking at how villains perceive you however, I think this is a little advanced for 2nl but I could be wrong. The thing that I dont get is that b/c he hasnt done this before doesnt his flop 4x raise look super strong? esp coming from a 14/9? What I mean is that isnt there a greater chance that he has a Q or a strong hand rather than not? Just a thought - hope this helps!

Yeah you make a really good point, I think because I actually attempt moves like this against players that actually have stats such as this...EG I 3xraise btn vs bb who's 14/12 or something down those lines...He 3bets me (I call with 10/9s), flop comes J27 (R), he bets 2/3rds pot, I than start thinking about all possible hands and actually try to range them according to there play style+bet size on flop...From there I usually perceive it as a cbet, and flat (why flat for the simple fact that it actually keeps our range still widely open and thus lets us take it away on later streets)...<Yet this is highly dependent on there cbet frequency tbh...So assuming I flat since it's alot harder to play oop vs players such as 15/9-20/12-20/15, if they fire out again on a blank turn than I just give up, If they decide to check I check back (because it still could be a trap by them), on river if it's another weird blank card, and they check I usually than attempt to bet 2/3rds pot...Now again if the player was constantly cbetting dry flops, I'd use a different route and rr on the flop vs players like this If I have position on them..

And that could be my real issue with by over thinking things at this level
