Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 46/9/28

This guy is no great player and my instincts are telling me to shove and that I'm ahead. I thought he would have a good hand to reraise in the first place but I'm still confident I'm ahead. What do you do here?

I'm not saying what I did here as I want the advice without bias but I did get to see the villain's cards. So once I've had a few opinions here, I'll post the hand result and what he had. Would love to know if based on his cards that I actually did the right thing. Cheers!

I wasn't thinking of folding. Just not sure, do I call this or shove? As I'm 250bb deep and all, not sure how it changes the game so much.

3bet on the flop is too big imo....your lucky he 4bet shoved....need to work on your bet sizing man...

he didn't shove, villain has about 2 dollars left.

Get it in. Lots of weird shit that the villain is calling off with. If he has 77 so be it imo.

Ditto
A7/A3/73s/XsXs I'm highly expecting, seeing as villains a fish there is likely more shite he can hold. Your only scared of one hand 77.

As for flatting otr shipping, Villain is unlikely to have air, he's either value betting or semi bluffing, hence we'd rather get it in than flat.

yeah we'd be 5bet shipping Alfie.

after the flop 4bet we're stacking off anyway, might as well get it in now.

the blinds are a forced bet, so preflop it goes call-raise-3bet-4bet-5bet
postflop there are no forced bets so it goes check-bet-raise-3bet-4bet
(occasionally will hear raise called 2bet)

Right, glad to know I did the right thing. I shoved and he called with AQ of spades. He hit the flush on the turn and took the pot. Guess that's just a bad beat then - was horrible to lose that one against such a bad player. But that's poker!

^ debatable. Getting 4b by a nut flush draw in a limped pot is pretty bad. Not really standard at all
