The Argument between the players

The fellow player said i didn't played well as i didn't shove pre-flop.

My argument is that i want to get the most value of his stack that is why i call PF then raise all in. I think i got what i want but he got it lucky on the flop. What do you guys think? Did i play badly?

How is calling a 4-bet with A6o from a shortstack any better? This is a good flop to stick it in and you shouldn't stack-off when someone 3-bets you pre-flop. He isn't a very good player by the looks of it. Don't take his advice.

Don't pay attention to lessons people tell you at the table. They're seldom worthwhile and they distract part of your attention.

Yeah you played that terribly considering you were a massive favorite before the flop and there's 8% chance he's got a 6 OTF ;) its obvious you should check/fold a board that dry with AA, your only going to be good about 85-90% of the time.... Next time just fold preflop lol

The main issue I see is that you weren't playing a full stack. In this case, it worked in your favor since you should have lost $2

Nope, it's his opponent who had a 300BB stack. Even fish go deep from time to time.

Yes, but he (i.e. hero) isn't 100bb deep, which was the issue.

In general, buy in for 100bb, and set auto-rebuy to top you up as you go.

Mark him down as calling 4bets pre with A6.

Next time do exactly the same or shove over the top of his 3bet pre flop.

Oh, I didn't notice it. My bad.

Looking back at this thread again, we need more of these players.

you played this really well - got some microstakes luckbox to commit himself drawing virtually dead and the villain got really lucky

Shoving aces pre is +ev but it isn't optimal. The bottom line is Aces show the biggest margin of profit when you get multiple streets of value, which can never happen if you open shove.

Don't take advice from players at the table, anyone who has anything worthwhile to say will be too busy making money to give lessons. Especially at 2NL where anyone who has half a clue will multi table grinding to get as much hourly as possible to move up quickly

This player flatted a 4 bet pre flop with A6. He is a fish and should be ignored or encouraged, not taken seriously.

Fold pre-flop so you don't get sucked out on.

AA v A6 you are a 92% favourite to win preflop,,,you lost, its a bad beat, never mind.
Your biggest mistake is not sitting with 100bb to start the hand so that 92% of the time you win the full $2 instead of just $1.61.
If you are constantly sitting under 100bb then your are constantly losing value on those winning hands when you manage to get it all in.

A player with 60/20 stats is probabely the last person you want to take an advice from.
Turn the chat off. I do not see how you can have time to look on the chat window. It means you are not completely focused on what you are doing.
