2NL ZOOM 6-MAX

Hero (MP) has $2.03
Villain (BTN) has $1.98

Hero is dealt Qh Qd
SB posts 1c
BB posts 2c
UTG folds
Hero (MP) raises to 6c
CO folds
Villain (BTN) raises to 18c
SB folds
BB folds
Hero raises to 48c
Villain calls 48c

99c in pot
Flop shows Js Qs Kd
Hero has $1.55 behind and Villain has $1.50 behind

Hero checks (was planning to check-shove here)
Villain checks (this really surprised me and ruined my plan)

Turn shows Jd

Hero bets $0.40 (I wanted to bet low enough to give villain a chance to chase a straight or flush draw, whilst simultaneously making the villain pot-committed enough to call a river shove so that I could stack him)
Villain folds (this frustrated me)
Hero wins pot $1.39

I don't know if I played this really badly or just got unlucky... I flopped a set, got a full house on the turn and missed out on so much value.

What should I have done differently?

Your opponent had 99, AQ, or air. Don't sweat losing value against the bottom of his range.

Also, bet that flop. So many turn cards kill your action, or put you behind.

Well, you cant do anything about it if villain has nothing.

You cant do much even if you check because he would check as well.
