Woohoo. My first straight flush ever, I think. Is there any way I could have milked this more? I don't know if betting more on earlier streets was appropriate. I felt that going all-in would make it too obvious that I had the nuts, so I decided that the pot was the maximum value I could extract so that weaker flush hands would still call.

Should I have bet bigger on earlier streets? I feel that I didn't have enough equity at that point to justify bloating the pot too much.

I wonder what kind of hand the opponent had. Perhaps he was very upset.

Me, too. I would shove if I would somehow know with 100% certainty that they had :ac4:. However, they could also have a weaker flush, or a straight... or two pair... The only hand not folding to a shove would be :ac4:, by not seeing the straight flush (since straights are harder to spot). So I decided to bet big, relative to the pot, but not anything outrageous...

Which makes me wonder if I should have bet bigger on the previous streets, because if I did that, then I might have been able to get the stacks in. But did I have enough equity to bet bigger on previous streets?

I doubt Villain would call any size bet unless she had a flush. If you have pushed over betting the pot before I'd be inclined to push the here. I'm guessing Villain had a flush when she called.

Sometimes you can raise the bet a lot with the best hand, as if you are bluffing and trying to get rid of the opponent.

I think you can over-bet the pot on the river here. Making it look like a bluff. All signs point to villain having :ac4:
