Do I need to cbet the flop- when i think about it im not really going to be folding out better hands ever. If I do, do i barell this turn- i feel like there are way too many hands i could be getting called with here.

Yeah, we can c-bet this turn. Hands like 66, 88, non-J overcards find folds on the turn.

you need to c-bet the flop, like you asked. i'd send out a "please call me bet" to rep the flush to see what happens on the turn....if you're raised you can assume flush and muck your hand.

3b a little bigger perhaps. $0.18-$0.22

3/4 pot (+/-) OTF.

Yes, you can barrel turn. 60-80% pot. Just because a flush came, doesn't mean dude has it. I actually think turn is a good card to barrel. His calling range PF and OTF is probably medium PPs, paint (over cards, not necessarily J-x), A-highs (like your hand), other A-rags like A-2, A-3, A-7, and even gutters with A-rag. I don't see any reason why we can't take another shot here. Villains range is pretty wide here I would think.

If you get raised OTT, we are done with hand. If villain calls turn, we are done with hand also. Only cards that could even make us consider calling a river bet may be non-spade A or Q, but it's read dependant.

I don't like the Jack. it is the nail in the coffin for AQ here. Everything you are ahead of that didn't hit the flop now hits (QJ, J-10, J-9, KJ, AJ), you could be in real trouble vs AJ or QJ if you catch the river.

Most of these hands fold to a flop bet. And if they call with AJ, then they also call with a host of other hands that the J didn't hit, so another barrel is warranted.

Preflop I'd raise to 20c rather than 17c.

On the flop, I like the bet. This is a good flop to Cbet and it's good to keep the initiative, rather than going into check-call mode.

On the turn, honestly, I'd just give up. I am usually a huge fan of barreling, but I just don't feel that this is a good card to barrel on. If we had any spade in our hand, then I'd definitely advocate barreling. Same if we had a Jx hand or overpair or any 88-TT pair. But I don't like barreling here with practically zero equity (even reverse implied odds when we hit an A or Q OTR).

I just don't think that the villain will fold to this turn barrel often enough. He's never folding any pair with a spade in it. Even a hand like 44 with a spade can talk itself into calling. I think that 7x will often get sticky and call again. Even random floats will have hit the J a lot of the time (like JT, QJ, KJ and AJ). Villain can also have sets, flushes and overpairs. I just don't see the villain folding often enough to justify barreling here, especially at this level.

In general, I tend to bluff/barrel slightly less when out of position, especially when I have practically zero equity.
