I'm not sure what to make of this hand. We kinda played our cards face up... not sure how to play it differently other than not shoving river.

Winning Poker Network (Yatahay) - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): 125.5 BB
BB: 111 BB (VPIP: 30.30, PFR: 18.18, 3Bet Preflop: 7.14, hands: 34)
UTG: 32.5 BB (VPIP: 80.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 5)
MP: 32.5 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 11.11, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 9)
CO: 186 BB (VPIP: 13.33, PFR: 13.33, 3Bet Preflop: 16.67, Hands: 15)
BTN: 98 BB (VPIP: 29.63, PFR: 3.70, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 30)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K:spade: 5:spade:

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 1 BB, Hero calls 0.5 BB, BB checks

Flop: (4 BB, 4 players) J:spade: A:spade: 9:diamond:
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, BTN bets 1 BB, Hero calls 1 BB, fold, fold

Turn: (6 BB, 2 players) A:club:
Hero checks, BTN bets 1 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

River: (8 BB, 2 players) 3:spade:
Hero bets 19 BB, BTN raises to 38 BB, Hero raises to 122.5 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 57 BB and is all-in

Of all the hands that limp on the button, there is only one that beats us... and that hand probably raises pre. anyway.

I learned to have respect for paired boards because they are textures that often contain many rare movements. For example the villain, who bet infimum in each street. That should be an alert that there is something strange. Because I would bet so little. You may only have pure air, if maybe. But it can also be a trap on the turn.
Regards.

Any player who limps at $2 NL is probably weak. And I've seen players at the lower limits limp with all kinds of hands from 72 to AA. I would just say that on a paired board, I don't like to play for stacks with my flush.

Would villain re-raise with Trip A or Q high flush on the river? I guess not...

I would generally go for smaller sizing on the river but I don't hate that to get more values from weaker flush and trip A in NL2 when the population tends to call light.

Just call the river unless villain is really spewy and id lead the flop and barrel most turns with the nfd. It's hard for people to hjave very strong hands on that flop when it's limped through..

BTN is super passive with less than 4% PFR. When we donk lead river for 2x pot and get min raised (please at least call me) by a super passive player on a paired board I may find a fold if I'm on my A game. In real time I probably call, but what hands are you hoping to get value from by 3 bet jamming this river? I know it's only 30 hands but this guy does not seem like a calling station
