Opponents stats of 25/15/75, Flop Cont bet 2/2 times, Only over 20 hands so not very reliable stats.

I put him on 77+, AJs+, AQ+ pre flop. Couldn't see how the flop may have helped him other than the 77 set, which is not particularly likely from an odds point of view.

I think my check-raise was a nice play as it shows strength and should knock off most over card hands and take the pot there.

On the turn any draws or mediocre hands that I could beat would likely take the free card, they obviously weren't afraid of a check-raise again, so in the end I was thinking overpair like TT+ would make the most sense, and have me crushed. The only thing I could beat bout be an over excited A7 or AK, AQ hearts.

Anyone else have any ideas about the range etc, or how I could have played differently?

What do you think a check min raise is going to do on the flop? Just c/c and then you can lead a lot of turns. No need to bloat the pot OOP.

I think you're either indulging in wishful thinking or assuming that because you'd fold if the seats were reversed, he will too.

How much strength you can rep is limited by your action pre-. You're not likely to have many hands with a 4 or 7 in your calling range, and you didn't 3bet. So how strong can you be? A lot of your range is 88 up to say TT or JJ depending what you'd have 3bet pre-.

Your min C/R gives him 4:1 pot odds to call, he has position, and he may well have a pretty decent read on your range. Does this seem like a situation where you can assume most opponents will fold overs?

Why do you want to "knock off most over card hands?"

If you think you are ahead of his range (which I think may include almost any 2 face cards - AT,KT,KJ,KQ...) then why would you want to make him fold his worse hand?

If you call the flop you can either bet the turn or x/c the turn.

If you think he is aggressive, you are more likely to get another bet on the turn. You also play better against his range here.

He called your x/r, which really increases the strength of his hand.

I really hate x/r on the turn only to fold on the turn when nothing meaningful changes. Why would he lead the turn but only call the x/r?

I would much prefer calling two streets here and folding to a 3rd barrel on the river. Or leading the turn after you call the flop.

Your opponent is so good that he sense weakness on your play.

As if your saying to your opponent your min CR begging him to stay.:)
