Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 42/13/0.7

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while because this place is an absolute goldmine. So a belated thank you is in order, as well as a preemptive one for any advice on this hand. First post of many I hope, look forward to your insights!

MP: $3.06
CO: $3.60
BTN: $0.80
SB: $1.21
Hero (BB): $2.12
UTG: $1.96

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with A <font color=black>♠</font> Q <font color=black>♠</font>
UTG calls $0.02, MP raises to $0.04, 2 folds, SB calls $0.03, Hero raises to $0.22, UTG calls $0.20, MP calls $0.18, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.70) 9 <font color=black>♠</font> A <font color=red>♥</font> K <font color=black>♠</font> (3 players)
Hero bets $0.48, UTG folds, MP calls $0.48

Turn: ($1.66) 8 <font color=red>♥</font> (2 players)
Hero bets $1.06, MP calls $1.06

River: ($3.78) K <font color=black>♣</font> (2 players)

Is this a bad spot to 3bet? Should I have shoved turn instead of ending up with a relatively tiny bet for the river?

Edit:- Tried fixing the HTML tags without luck.

Your 3 bet is great.

Yep, shove the turn.

Raise more on the flop because it's a wet board.. 3/4 or closer to pot if you like

And shove turn

Agree with the others - 3bet pre is good, and just shove turn (so that, as you say, you avoid ending up with a relatively tiny bet for the river)
