Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 18/11/2

  1. When in position, should hero 5-bet, cold call, or fold?
  2. I just realized he was in UTG and in real time i was just banking that AQo was a great hand during the session because i was playing too many tables to realize he raised UTG :/ so im assuming insta-fold on the 4-bet but let me know what you think!!!

What do you mean by "He was UTG". No, he was small bling with everyone else folding, the initial raise could have been an attempt to steal your blind. The 4-bet thought, show signs of a really good hand, so yes I would fold.

What happened next ? Why don't you show the whole hand ?

Pretty easy insta-fold for me vs a 4 bet preflop raise with AQ.

i folded, and forum guidelines says try not to show ending result because its irrelevant in regards to decision making. whether we know the outcome or not should not influence the "right decision"

AQo doesn't have much playability, And easily dominated on 4bet pots. Don't cold flat those type hands with such a low SPR.

Ok, thanks. Yeah I figured, but I'm too curious to analyze a hand and then not know what happened ^^

Your 3bet pre with AQo blind vs blind is perfect. He 4bets you OOP and now your call with AQo is pretty horrendous.

Yes, don't post the ending result. Let other people comment for a few days without knowing the outcome and then post the result if someone asks for it.

He's got a high fold 3bet percentage pre-flop so he must've had something or was getting tired of getting pushed around from that big stack on your left. Like the others said, I would've folded his 4bet. His play on the flop makes me feel like he's got a pocket pair or AQ-A10 of clubs and is trying to protect his hand while trying to keep you in the pot.

I don't think a call is horrendous in absoulte terms.
I would say a call is ok if you think SB would light 4bet and then check fold the flop. If you don't know that, I would prefer folding pre to the 4bet.

I think you should consider the stats of folding to 3bet, attempt to steal from SB etc. Also your table image could play a role.
In general I think we don't have enough information and surely the safe and probably better play would be a fold to the 4bet.

@3betfish what did villain do on the flop?

AQ is a questionable 3bet in the first place with stats like that.

Just flat pre flop but as played I think you are still behind on the flop.

I would fold pre against the 4bet in a vaccum in these stakes.
