squeeze is a bit too big for my taste. around 18,20 would be nice I think.

you could call here though cause the odds are decent. Or can let it go if you can put him on a K or better.
Sometimes people even punt with a flush draw.
Again player readings are important.

When you have the middle pair it's better to protect by betting, but you have to consider you are playing a 3 bet pot with a short stacked fish. So there's always the probability of him shoving the stack putting you in a tough spot. You gotta think these things through & plan how you want to proceed starting from preflop.

This just isn't true the vast majority of the time. We don't bet to protect our weak hand, we check so that we have a strong check calling range. If we bet any Qx and Kx here, what does our check/call range look like? Do we even have one?

AP tho I probably pay the guy off or just jam flop, your 3b pre was waayyyy to large and I'm just not sure if we can fold here against an unknown fish. He could have QTs and we are just getting too good a price.

I'd 3b smaller pre, x/call flop, evaluate turn.

I called and they showed AK. I thought I was supposed to 3bet 12BB out of position and 10BB in position? I cbet the flop because I 3bet preflop and there was a flush draw on the board.
Is AQ even worth 3betting with? I have been up against AK a lot lately when I 3bet and this is a huge leak in my game.

I haven't heard that guideline before.

With AQ, having no reads on your opponent, I think 10BB or 12BB is a bet that mostly results in worse hands folding (not desirable) and better hands calling (not desireable).

Whether AQ is worth 3-betting is largely dependent on the opponent. Personally, with no reads on an opponent, I'd generally 3-bet an opponent who raised from one of the stealing positions (button or cutoff, because ranges are wider for raises from those positions), and call otherwise.

Villain only min raised and you 5x'd it. Standard is 3x IP 3.5x-4x OOP. What you quoted is if you had 3.5-4x a 3bb open and not this 2bb open.

You set yourself up to fail from the flop unless he was a very loose player overall.

He only calls you there with either K, straight+flush combo draw (which you know can only be 10dJd or something slightly worse) or something like that. You bet an amount whereby you are only called by a super-strong draw hand or a better flop hit (the k) sure it's remotely possible with Q and a lower kicker he calls that if he's on the looser side or if you have been on the looser side but basically you bet was too big.

The pot is $.50 and you are betting 64% of it, he is blatantly only calling with better.

Bet 3BB ($.06) in my honest opinion because you want to punish him harder on the turn if he flat calls you (unless diamond shows or 9 shows then feel some fear) or you want to see him having king and have put as little as needed to bait him to reraise with the king and reveal himself to you so you can happily fold.
