I only joined the table a few hands before. The vibe I was getting from this guy was a loose-aggressive type, but I would say a bad one. Obviously it was hard to tell though.

Hand: Ac Jd Stack: $1 Villain stack: $1.25

Villain UTG limps 2c
Villain 2 button limps 2c
Villain 3 SB limps 2c
Hero Raises 10c
Villain calls
Villain 2 calls
Villain 3 calls

FLOP 3d Jh 3h POT: 38c
Villain 3 checks
Hero bets 30c
Villain calls
Villain 2 folds
Villain 3 folds

TURN 3d Jh 3h 4c POT: 94c
Hero checks stack: 60c
Villain shoves stack: 90c
Hero ??????

Going through my head right now is that he wouldn't limp/call with a 3 in his hand, but I could give way to pocket 3's, but than again who would shove 4 of a kind? He could possibly be holding pocket pairs from 22-99. Or maybe JA-10.
Or he is shoving a draw, I still feel like I am ahead with the small reads I have on him. His shove on this board I think showed weakness and is scared of a draw from myself

Why you checked the Turn?
You have TPTK and then just go for three streets of value especially against a loose aggressive player.
He probably has something like K J Q J.
You showed weakness on the Turn and then he thinks he is ahead and trys to win it there with his shove.
And which 3 X should he limp and called pre flop? Maybe A 3 K 3 but this is way to rare.

Just call it there and in most cases you will win.

The problem with you playing games that don't let you buy in for 100bb is it makes the SPR so much smaller. Imo with an SPR a little over 2 with TPTK on that board, you're auto stacking off vs a lag.

If he's shoving there and the hand has an SPR of 5, it's an easy fold. The reason people play short stacks is because it makes your decisions easier, you're auto stacking off a lot more. Imo call this hand and change site or stakes to one that doesn't cap you. Here you're committed when you cbet the flop imo (which is the correct play).

All FR games on 888 are 100bb. I have yet to check what you're playing due to working full time alongside uni exams, but I may tonight.

Edit after grunch: Yea, bet the turn.

If you just open up a 6max 2NL table you'll see it only lets you buy in with $1. The stakes above are 100bb buyin

Yea I saw earlier. Really odd, you should consider either playing FR on 888, depositing more and trying 5nl or playing a different site till you get out of 2nl.

Even if 888 is softer, it's not going to help your progression because it's teaching you how to play with half the stack you'll play when you move up. It's probably limiting you a lot and short stacks means less poker. From the hands you're posting it seems like the 50bb cap is frustrating you. Moving to 100bb also means you'll get better responses from people other than 'just get it in'.

Just shove turn yourself and Jreece speaks a lot of truth. Especially the fact that spending your time learning to play 50bb stacks and when you move up you will be playing 100bb stacks is kind of a waste.

Results were that I called his shove and he showed KJ. So I won a good pot :)
