No we are betting this 100% of the time. You're losing way too much value against his range when we check back river, can't even consider checking turn with that drawy a board. Based on spoiler tag this guy as a mega fish and keep playing

I think we are way ahead of villains range here. Definitely betting all 3 streets here also.

I think you played the hand really well sir.

I have not checked the spoiler yet....

He must have some sort of Jx hand or perhaps a busted FD where he paired the queen.

Now I shall check the spoiler and see how wrong my range is.

Edit: Yes I was wrong of course. I was sorta right about 1 part anyways. Oh well.

Well played vinyl.

Totally standard value bet all 3 streets.

Is it standard at 2NL? I mean is probably is but many limits it wouldn't be particularly on this run out when the Q peels and the diamonds whiff.

The bet sizing caught my eye as being a bit strange - betting ½ the pot on the turn and then upping that to ¾ on the river.

Yeah I'm with DK. Your sizings were a bit odd. I'm betting bigger on turn though and less on the river. As played there isn't much you beat that calls the river.

Yeah only at 2 NL is this totally standard but value betting all 3 streets is still standard with he over pair here. Most of the time You'll still get called by a ton of 1 pair hands like jx and most of the time (note most not all) they'll let you know when they have 2 pair plus.

Having said that, I did miss OPs bet sizing and agree with others that it makes more sense to bet the turn a little bigger and river less.

The hand is almost 200 blinds deep. Shoving the river is pretty terrible as a default.

why? im expecting that most 2p type hands wouldnt have c/ced the turn and its 2nl people dont like folding after they have hung around

i wouldnt shove every river, but def blanks like this

any good Qx is likely calling maybe KJ and AJ as well people don't think too much about leveraging and stack sizing in this level

The reason it's bad depends on just how much bigger you're betting the turn. Are you betting like 2× pot on the river after the board is already out in full, or are you betting a dollar into 60 cents on the turn for a pot sized river shove. I'd argue against either being a particularly good way to play this spot as a default. At the very least the flop raise should be larger.

when he donks flop ,I put him on Jx or a FD. The turn card isnt my favorite cause OESD's just made it and 2p type hands (QJ),hence the crappy 50% bet which i prefer to checking cause most of the time im still ahead but dont wanna go crazy.

On the river when the board comes out dry,i just decide to go for a near pot sized bet because i thought i would have heard about a better than TPGK type hand by this point.

Im wondering if he was trapping or just scarred hes no longer good.

Best line would probably be something like 3/4 on turn and maybe like 55% on river? Or even pot turn and check river?

Cause when villain donks flop and shuts down on turn and river, i usually am good with an overpair.

I felt that i could have been called on river by TPGK. Which is frankly what i put him on.

Generally speaking though, i think that getting 3 streets of value with an overpair is kind of optimistic alot of the time. Esp when your getting called on every street.

Zoom nl2, there are a lot of fishes, you played very well this hand. I sympathize. I play it something like you, maybe I prefer bets for 1/2 pot.
