Hmm i feel more comfortable with a2-a5s 3betting

I feel naked 3betting this but given that flop it does look like an awesome opportunity missed esp with 2 fish in the pond

What did the villain end up showing?

I can never extract value in spots like this. Usually if I shove, the only people that call me have me beat (higher 2 pairs or a set). But I guess looking at his stack size and VPIP/PFR/3bet (even over a small sample size), he looks fishy and it could definitely work here.

I agree. Either three bet squeeze or fold. Unless the initial raiser is fishy and you know he/she will pay you off when you hit your flush/2pair etc.

A6s IMO is in horrible condition against UTG range (I haven't played much 6 max lately though... mainly full ring). You're looking at possible reverse implied odds when you hit an Ace.

As played: Just call MP's min raise. Too many other combinations that could have you dominated A9, slow played 78, sets, and etc.

In the long run, I just thought the move was good.

Most probably villain will have Ax and will call up.

Just bad luck if he dominated us from the start.

Or you could take the EV 0 route which is just fold. It's a better hand to open raise with than call with. Definitely don't want to be calling OOP with it.

When UTG and MP check the flop you can pretty safely assume neither are holding a 9. I would bet this flop. There are hands that beat you but there are also some draws that don't. In addition there are hands like AK that may cold float. And hands like 77, 88 that you can maybe fold later.

As played, I like a flat call on the river.
