This is a discussion on $2 NLHE 6-max: Is a good fold with QQ? within the online poker forums, in the Cash Game Hand Analysis section; I dont have any notes off the guy and dont have a hud,so i dont know the frequensies he 4bets,so i will asume a only
I dont have any notes off the guy and dont have a hud,so i dont know the frequensies he 4bets,so i will asume a only value range, QQ+,AKo,AKs, (ocationally he could have JJ and TT in his 4bet rangue i dont know).
So i call and the flop comes 7h2c8h and the guy Cbets 1/3(that sising tell me 2 thingh, either he is a regular how is betting that much with all his 4bet rangue to dragg into the hand lower PP or he he a recre and dont have anything)
Turn is Jc and we bouth X and River is a Ts and he overbets shove,or he has AKh that is bluffing or he has AA(dont think KK would do that because i coul call with AA)
so here i only see 1 combo i beat and the rest off his rangue beats me hard,i dont have the equity for thouse pot odds too(i need 38% equity for be a break even call, have to put 2,78 to a pot that will be off 7,41).
Wath do you guis think. https://www.cardschat.com/replayer/624t7ztgg

I think on that flop, I'm check raising all in. Though honestly, I'm 5 bet shoving preflop, so it wouldn't have mattered.

re: Poker & $2 NLHE 6-max: Is a good fold with QQ?
I can see JJ even 99 playing exactly like villain played.
You played the hand passively postflop, which means that villain can shove KK, AA on the river for value.
Yes there are a lot of combos of AK, but rarely players at 2nl overbet/shove river as a bluff.
If you had any information on villain getting out of line, this could have been a call.
But with no information, I think your river fold was solid.

I think this one is closer than it looks. Typically cold 4 bets are nutted so I think your ranging is pretty good but it is 2NL so you never know. The thing that makes me wonder is checking back the turn. It really feels like AK when he checks that turn. I don't think AA or KK check the turn unless they have a heart blocker. I think V has QQ and AK here a fair amount. The turn check really makes me want to call here. I think folding is still fine vs an unknown though. It's often better to take the safe route until you have better reads. Vs line makes sense for JJ or AAhx but that's about it. I probably would have paid it off but I call too much on the river according to PT4 lol.
