HI all. This is my first time posting a hand. So, sorry for the formatting ,I'm working on it. I got the spoiler working anyways. lol What I want to know is, when this guy 3 bet he only left behind .68, so I figured he would call anything. But if the villian had 100bb or more would it be better to just 4bet and not gii yet, as a 4bet smells of big PP.

Was this just a case of a fish(me), calling down with TP? The way he played i didnt think he had j10. But the 22 blindsided me. Why are these so hard to spot?

hand 1: standard. result doesnt matter. shoving is fine against the short stacker

hand 2: let utg cbet here. i dont like leading out on the flop and i dont like how we didnt 3bet

turn is a fold hes telling us we are beat. prolly 2pair or str

do you think hes raising turn with a weak Q or K .. doubtful so yeah we dont beat anything to opponents raise and its hard to bluff on that board

In the first hand you asked if the guy hand 100BB would it be better to just 4 bet and I think that is correct. If he folds he was never strong enough to get more out of, a call is nice, and if he shoves even better. So 4 betting is a win any way you slice it. But as you point out he is short so just shove in that case. Hand two your "spider sense" should be tingling. Yes you got into a calling off situation here. Keep it small out of position. You led out and got called then led out again and got raised. Unless you believe the guy is new to the game he clearly sees you may be as strong as AK here and he doesn't care. Stubborn players may call the raise on the turn but once he value bets the river you have to know you are beat. He isn't showing fear of a raise here. If he was afraid you might bluff raise him or show up with a monster he would just check the river. I would check call the flop and check call or check raise the turn but in the end I think this guy will end up letting me know I am beat and I fold. I have played the hand the way you played it many times of course. I felt like a fool afterwards and just try to learn from it.

Thanks for the responses guys. On hand 1 if they are deep, i agree a smaller 4bet. Hand 2 was just played all wrong by a newbie fish(ME). He raise and I called, maybe should of 3bet the AK, not sure. But ya I donked the flop and didn't let him tell me anything till It got costly. Hell he raised, he could have showed up with AA. And George you said 2 truth full things. First my "spider sense" was telling me to fold. And 2nd I can be as "stubborn" as a jackass. Thanks for the food for thought.. Have a good un!

Most all of us get blind sided by situations like that 2nd hand. Since we most all will be set mining, we should be aware that they will too.

In general, noobs don't gravitate to 6 max. I give anyone playing 6 max more credit than I do to players at full ring.

Do you have PT4 set up to be taking notes for you? Even if you do, this is a note worth jotting into the site client.

This will almost always happen at $2 6-max. At a higher buy-in, the likelihood of someone calling with his hand goes down some, but it never goes all the way away.

You've got 68 hands on the guy, and his stats are in a normal range for 6 max, a bit hi, but still in the range. So, not much help from the stats. Getting away from TPTK is never easy, and I'm not sure I would give it up unless I had some other notion about the villain.

At 68 hands, it is unlikely you have seen him do this before, but a simple note about other hands might give a clue. Perhaps that note might read 'Trappy'.

Thanks DJ, Ya i have it taking notes,I think it does that from default setup..lol.

I know this is a cash HA thread, but i figured since most have a hud/DB, I figured I would get a good answer here. I got PT4 on Dec. 5th. I had wpn set up to save HH for their max(30 days). So between then and now I have 50 days, roughly 250 tourneys played on acr. I made a graph of my all in expected vs what i won. I filtered it for my vpip. Is this an accurate representation of how i am running? Also PT4 isnt recognizing any of my cashes, so it always says i am -100% ROI, how can I fix that? Like I said, sry posting this in my cash HA thread, but there is a wealth of knowledge in here. Have a good un all!!
