Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 20/16/4

  1. Hero was thinking villain may have AK AQ KQ or suited Ace combos, felt comfortable with calling down with villain stats. Was this the right move? Could villain play it differently? Like bet on the river? Or was the game played optimally?

I think you played it well. From the CO, AJ,AT and bigger pairs are in villains range too. OOP, I think checking the river is correct.

I think that on a JTxx Turn and villain firing second bullet, you should give up on turn. Villain's range connects well with this board.

That's some pretty epic spew right there! Every connected hand from 7X to AX has either a pair or a straight draw. If you're ahead on the flop, your opponent likely has at least 10 outs against you.

This is a terrible flop to peel OOP. You lucked out and got the best turn & river cards short of a 6.

His opening range is something like: ”22+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,76s,ATo+,KJo+”

Use Equilab to define his range – pie wheel just after range input. “may have AK AQ KQ or suited Ace combos” is not really scientific enough and without checking probably very wrong cut like c9 says.

Checkraise the turn big or fold. With the checkraise he is going to fold even a pair of tens, or a higher pair he might be holding like 8s, 7s, he might even fold QJ since he has no straight draw at that point, and his kicker is week. You have to have a feel for if he is weak though, if you cant get that, fold turn.

What are we repping if we bluff-raise the turn? A5? TT and JJ would 3-bet. Just reeks of a draw.

Gotta get rid of that hand on the turn brother. He stayed aggressive on the flop and turn and I could a a Jx and 10x in a lot of players ranges.
