I think I hit the flop pretty hard here. He gets it in pre with KK and AA (at least I hope so). Unlikely that he has QQ and the case Q comes out. So the only hand beating me would be AQ.

I feel the best way to extract value from hands that I can beat is to check shove here. I don't think he checks back 99/TT/JJ so at the very least I can get a bet out of him, and he might call which is even better.

Dont like a x/r at all, what calls us that we beat? Def c-betting the flop, then depending on turn card may check to get extra value on the river b/c he wont show up with weaker Qx too often.

Yeah I see what you are saying, guess I got greedy and was just hoping to get called by JJ.

If we take the alternative line, and plan to go bet/check/bet and he fires the turn what do you think the best option is?

Whats his stats? the problem with check shoving here is that you shouldnt ever really be getting called by worse. He should be folding any worse Qx hands as they are clearly beat and any hands like JJ and lower will snap fold to this check shove. So ye what YGM says, go for 2/3 streets with the betting lead, especially on a board this dry you can get called for 2/3 streets with 78s and worse Qx hands etc

Also dont know why you 3b pre? unless its a fish and was for value

Call and re-evaluate OTR.

Call pre-flop. C-bet flop or as you played it, just call him down.

This. I pretty always 3bet pre here especially versus this player type. Bet the flop. There is no reason to ever check here unless you have some sort of dead read that he always bets when you check. Tricky does not work at NL2. Straightforward does.
