Think it's the obvious play here, lots of bad cards can hit the turn. I would have done the same. He might have 3-bet bluffed and folded air here too, who knows.

I think raising there is fine. If there wasn't two diamonds I would lean towards just calling.

As for preflop you could probably make it 5c or 6c instead. You don't wanna risk more money than you have too, unless you know he will fold more often to 7c.
Flop is good. 3betting will get value against a bunch of stuff like flush draws and overpairs, and you size it up good for a turn shove.
