Preflop: Hero is MP with Js Kd
Hero raises to $0.06, 3 folds, BB calls $0.04
Flop: ($0.13) 9s Kh Ts
(2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.10, BB raises to $0.33, Hero calls $0.23
Turn: ($0.79) 6h
(2 players)
BB bets $0.58, Hero calls $0.58
River: ($1.95) Ac
(2 players)
BB bets $5.47, Hero ??
my questions are:
1) do i bet more on the flop with top pair + gutshot?
2) his check raise on flop says so many things. im not sure if he has a set here, QJ, AQ, AK, KQ, two pair, etc. the board is really scary. i just called for this reason. was this a mistake?
3) on the turn, i thought a drawing hand might check here, but then i thought that would be a misplay on his part since he check raised the flop and it could be obvious he is chasing a flush or straight. so then i thought maybe he has QJ. but that also seems weird since i think QJ would've shoved. so i called again here thinking he might be on the draw still and is trying to hide it. he could also just have a better kicker here, or he could still have a set. should i have folded here?
4) the river brings another scary card, and i didn't improve. the flush also missed so that might alleviate some of his worries if he had a straight, and for some reason was waiting until the river to shove. he also massively overbets here so it makes me think AK or a set probably makes the most sense. but his insta shove here for his whole stack just seems odd. wouldn't he just bet my stack if he had a monster?
