So I played an difficult hand with pocket aces :

Do you think that folding on the river was justified ? My opponent played overall quite tight. I believe the board on the flop is better for a big blind calling range.
I mean there were so many hands that could beat me on the river and my opponent got never caught bluffing at this table.
I still believe it was the wrong decision afterwards. Should I have reraised his bet on the flop ? I'm still a beginner, so maybe it was a clear decision.

There is not enough info about villain, so no way saying what is correct and what is not.
Good rules to follow: 1. Raise on the flop is usually a monster 2. 3barrel is usually a monster.

Player2 has normal 100bb stack, he is making very normal looking bets, his river bet size looks normal, even though usually with a monster people tend to bet a tad more. So I would say folding is not a mistake, however I would say calling is not a mistake either because he is repping very strong with so few possible hands.

If we give him range about like this {TT-77, 55-44, A7s, K7s, 86s+, 75s, 54s} you have around 50% and you have easy call. It’s good to note here that some players would bet 100% of over pairs here, and some would bet 0% of over pairs.

So I would say in this battle calling is better than folding, but given the large picture of winning the war there is nothing wrong in folding.

Reraising has no merit, you can start (and truthfully have very good winrate in 5NL too) by only reraising very strong hands in 2NL, instead folding over pair to raise vs tight player is more standard for winning players.

Also it seems Player 1 got Player 2 money, so villain should be steaming a bit too.

The check raise flop then lead out on turn and river looks like a set or straight to me. I'd be surprised at this line with an over pair. Good fold i think.

Nice fold , there is a straight and full house draw which is quiet scary to call with aces well played !
