SB: $9.90 (99 bb)
BB: $13.25 (132.5 bb)
Hero (MP1): $20.90 (209 bb)
MP2: $5.15 (51.5 bb)
MP3: $10.65 (106.5 bb)
CO: $10.55 (105.5 bb)
BTN: $11.40 (114 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP1 with 6

Hero calls $0.10, MP2 calls $0.10, 3 folds, SB completes, BB raises to $0.70, Hero calls $0.60, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.60) 5

BB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

Not too drawy of a board especially with the cards he is likely raising , I want to let him bluff the turn also if he is trying to cbet a hand like ak a/q

Turn: ($4.60) 6

BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $2

And I turn the nuts. Not exactly sure what to do here but I definitely want to build The pot so when he check it at me I bet really low, hoping he comes over the top or at the very least doesn't fold. When he came over the top of me I pushed for time and made it look like I was contemplating a call, but really I was just thinking about how I was gonna spend all his money :p

Hopefully he improves on the river

River: ($10.60) J

BB bets $8.05 and is all-in, Hero calls $8.05

he shoves and I instacall

Results: $26.70 pot ($1.30 rake)

Anyway, I did get it all in on this hand, but I realized I had no idea how to do it honestly. This isn't a situation I'm really used to yet. I really didn't know what kind of bets I should make and when I should make them to try to get money in. I found myself with a big hand and got lucky cause he had kings.

I dont slowplay so thats the only thing I dont like here on the flop. Even with a pretty dry flop as you seen. On the turn I really like the little donk bet here, and getting him to raise is definitely the nuts. Obviously after he check raises you on the turn here he looks like he is pretty committed to whatever hand he is holding and will get it in on the river. That instant shove into you on the river is the best thing you can possible see. Nice hand

Yea on a board that's more likely to hit my opponents range I almost always reraise the flop.

And I suppose I really should anyway because if he has a big pp like JJ-KK he's probably gonna clam up real fast if an over card comes down.

Also do you feel he is committed with 8.05$ left on the turn after his reraise that I can go ahead and shove there or should I flat it or maybe make a small reraise like maybe to 5 or 6 which will definitely commit him if he makes the call. Basically I'm asking this because I'm not sure he would of pushed if he had jj-kk and an over card came down on the river.

I like raising the flop here. Let him get it in with his overpair before he get too scared.

Honestly, at these stakes I would've probably played the hand just like you did. So many villains here are aggro monkeys, throwing bets in recklessly. I've actually found that passive play is making me a bigger winrate than when I'm aggressive. If you give them rope, they'll hang themselves.

I'd flat the flop exactly for the reason you said. They're doing this with AK/AQ and a lot of times, they'll continue to fire until they meet aggression back at them. Besides that, we're so strong here, and if he wants to put his money in for us, that's great. The only way to take a guy's stack is if he thinks that he can take yours. I don't want to give him any reason to think he can't get my money here.

I don't like shoving the turn, just because he's saying he really likes his hand and we have the nuts. I don't want to give him a hint that he might not have as good a hand as he think until he puts more money in. So I don't mind flatting the turn, expecting him to bet a fraction of the pot on the river at which point we'll put him all in, and he'll likely be committed at that point.
