Villian is 40/8/2. OOP I expect one of them to bet so I'm planning to checkraise, but he calls. Then the flush fills on the turn.

Bets $4, calls push. There are plenty of med-big pairs that will pay you off, as well as some really poorly played overcards that you need to charge to see a river. A flush/JJ are possible here but don't show up nearly enough to get us scared.

Bet-pushing (or 3-betting) that flop is also an option, something I'm usually doing a little more than ch-raising.

i agree with betting out about 4$ and be willing to call a push. His bet on the flop looks like a standar c bet, and at these levels it seems if people cbet and are raised, they dont like to look weak by folding so call the raise just to try and spike one of their overcards. hands such as a,j k,j , q,j, t,t any hands like these may very well push that turn card aswell as naypair with a diamond, so we beat more cards than we lose to by calling an all in. I expect a bet of 4 to take it down anyway

Yep, I'd agree betting out about 2/3 pot would be about right.

I posted this hand because I was uncertain at the time, but later was pretty sure I mucked this up.

First, my reraise was slightly small; for some reason I multiplied .70 x 3 and thought 2.00 was slightly more which is usually my target for a reraise.

Then, I know I'm too gunshy at $10NL of people who chase flush draws against pot odds but I convinced myself to check/call down. There's a lot of them at this level, but here he's the PF raiser so his call is somewhat less likely to be a flush chasing call and more likely to be a "I'm the PF raiser and I've got a bit of a hand so I'm calling" call.

I checked the turn, he bet 1.80, I called. River was another diamond, check-check. He won with 77, including the 7s. Yech.

Exactly. Again, even when they do have a flush you have tons of equity to catch up with.
