Just wondered what you would do here say your on the button, One limper in middle position, you pick up marginal hands such as A9s, A8o, J9s and you would normally steal with these hands what would you do if the same guy keeps on limping from middle and your picking up these sorta hands.??

still raising usually. my requirements will of course be a little tighter than what i'd just open with since once someone has already limped, a) i have to invest a little more to raise than i would otherwise and b) it's more likely i'll be seeing a flop. but the type of hands you mentioned generally fit the bill if the guy is a frequent limper. you might steal his limp preflop + a decent potential hand that is either ahead of or close to his range + he's probably not a great player since he keeps open-limping + you have position on him + you have initiative in the hand by raising = it's gonna be a +EV play

I'll assume you're talking about Low/Micro Stakes NLHE Cash Games. In that case raising is pretty standard. I'd even raise with a few worse hands: A4s+, A7o+, T8s+, maybe T9o.

I'm curious as to why you think limping or folding would become an option if "the same guy keeps limping"?

How does an isolation raise differ from any other pre-flop raise?

I'm not raising here to isolate anything else but money. When I raise one limper with A8s I'm hoping that everyone folds.
