Villain is 23/7/.8 after just 43 hands. I think my preflop line is pretty standard. I'm not too sure what the best line is on the flop as far as betsizing goes or how often I am ahead when a player that is very passive checkraises me on this particular board. Usually with these types of players I find myself value betting a lot but folding to resistance in wa/wb situations, which may or may not be correct. Thoughts?

It looks like your bet was too small for this table. QQ is a good hand but I don't think you want 3 callers here. If you bet bigger, say $1 or even $1.25 and just collected the blinds, you might feel disappointed but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either.

IMO it was a good fold.

Your pre-flop raise was fine. Honestly, this hand is one of those that just kind of makes you sit there and stare. I think a lot of the time we are looking at a JT type hand. His check/raise was very small, making me lean heavily towards him having a Jack.

I agree you don't want 3 callers, but adjusting your preflop raise is not necessarily needed. I typically adjust up or down a few BB's until I get a feel for how the table is acting. I would not recommend going crazy up to 10xBB just because you don't want 3 callers. You have QQ, you want action, that's how you make money. You raised 5xBB, it is a fine play..you happened to get 3 callers.

A pair on the board is never a good flop for the original raiser, in this case you. I have two basic plays dependent on if the flop is draw heavy: (1) overbet the pot slightly on a draw heavy flop, it makes someone wanting to bluff have to really commit some chips, (2) check the flop and then get ready to reraise anyone who leads the turn, or if checked around again you lead out for a 3/4 to pot size bet.

In your hand, you lead out for 1/2 the pot making it easy for villain to raise and find out if you really do have a J. And, given the other two fold, it allows him to make a move and represent the J.

And it works, you fold. But, given the line you took that is exactly what you should have done. You cannot be sure villain does not have a J. To find out means you have to commit more money to the pot to get the information you need. This means reraising immediately or call and hope he gets scared you have a J and checks the turn, both options are not all that appealing.
