Don't get me wrong...I'm not against a good value bet.
It's just in this situation it doesnt seem right to me. What's his range? I know we dont have many hands on him, but if the stats are even close he is probably sitting on 66+,ATs+,KTs+,QJs,AJo+.
Villian's river bet feels like a c-bet to me, but he calls the raise so he must have something. The Ace hits on the turn and he checks it...personally if I have an AX hand here I bet it, but Ive seen plenty of players at this limit check raise with TPTK. The heart comes on the river so now he's scared of the flush. But is he scared enough to lay down a potentially strong hand to our smallish value bet? With the stack sizes I don't think we have enough to scare him off of AX or a set unless we push. And there are too many scary cards on the board for us to throw in extra money here.
I think Sindri played it right by checking it down. Of course, I havent been playing as much lately so take what I say with a grain of salt.
