Well you beat a bluff and nothing else. It's a fold.

A little bigger raise on the flop (~$2.50) and push on the turn.

I make it $3.5 on the flop and just shove the turn (which would then be like $9 and us having like $5 and change left in our stack). You want to build the pot faster with big hands when the board is this drawy so you can get the most money in while he's still drawing and avoid having to pitch the hand on a river like this.

Doesn't that give him an easier chance to fold ? Also if I tell you what hand he showed you're gonna wonder how the F he even called in the first place..

If he's bluffing, he'll mostly fold regardless of our raise size.
If he's got a made hand, he'll pay us off regardless of raise size.
If he's got a monster, money's getting in anyways.
If he's drawing, he's chasing regardless, so we charge him more earlier.

BTW, betting boards with 4 of the same color is an extremely common (and usually profitable) bluff. If villain only calls when he has one of the 9 remaining cards of this color you're getting great bluffing odds even if you pot it.

But I was last to act on this river, so I can't really reraise him if you see our stack sizes at that point. When I'm OOP I agree and I do it from time to time too. But here, I guess it just wasn't meant to be..

Am I the only one who's not folding this river against this 'tard?

But I agree, the real problem is you played the flop & turn HORRIBLY!

IMO, the worst play on this hand is the turn call. He bet $0.70 into a $6 pot if I did the math right, that is horrible , the rest has been covered.

i didn't mean that you should raise river. just that a river bet here is often enough a bluff, so it would not be horrible to call.

and i agree with what the other said, you played it horribly on flop and turn.

So flop I should raise more right ? (a problem I seem to have quite a bit,) Turn I was thinking I'd reraise the river if a non heart came. Stupid really since that would mean I didnt put him on a made flush and should reraise the turn.. He turned out to have 6s4h for some reason.

Yeah, it might be worth calling it. He's about as much of a maniac as you can possibly be over 80 hands. I don't necessarily think he's more likely to have a heart than any random hand. I might even shove all-in, expecting him to call with anything given how little there is left.

EDIT: It would be important to look at not just his river aggression frequency, but also the number of rivers seen. As aggressive as he is, he may not have seen many rivers and so we can't know his river bluff frequency.
