Against this type of player, I'm playing for stacks. Pop him on the flop and try to get money in the middle.

Even thou he is passive im allways playing for stacks here.
The sample is small and he has retard prf stats so i wouldnt be surprised to see KT,99 or w/e.
His range is alot wider then sets imo....

I would have to agree i would re-raise here. I think i would re-raise to 4.50 here. Then obvious play for stacks, if he came over top.

nope, I like the shove actually. As long as its not done too much, you can get people calling your shove down with weak hands putting you on a bluff.

In laman's terms, the shove looks like a bluff of sorts

Never min raise with AA....at least make em look stupid if they call you and win with the two draws on the table + the 3 sets. I would worry more about the 333 or the 555 than the K or Flush Draw. I push on the flop though.

out of curiousity?....what were your stats?...he has been around for 166 hands...It is possible the villian "could" be watching you here and thought he might have found a spot to push or test you...he could have put you on a missed flop cbet...or hes a donk that just read sklansky's nlhe book and thought that a min raise would get him that free card on the turn and hope to hit his flush....either way I definately like the raise to $4.50...over the shove....although the shove is the safer bet I think....

I'm about 12/8/4 with around 85% cbet%.
So this is possible.

villain is a 41/5 and hence likely doesn't know poker literature exists, you're overthinking here.

either rr to ~$4 and shoving turn or just shoving flop (given that it's $10NL and villain appears to be an idiot) is fine.

I wasn't by any means suggesting that he just read sklansky's book, but fish that are 41/5 surely know about the "free card" advice every fricken pro in the world likes to give out during the degree all in moment on tv(or whatever.) Kinda like almost every hold'em player knows 72off is the worst hand in poker preflop......

But you probably are right in the fact that he more than likely is not watching you....thus just thinking on the first level.
