How do you want to play AKs UTG+1, when reraised from late position. Reraiser is something like 17/8 at this point, I'm ~14/8 but there's only 15 hands of history so far.

Villian actually makes a proper sized 3 bet, which is not typical for this level which might be an indication that he knows how to play.

Stacks:
- BTN with $7.65 - SB with $9.65 - BB with $4.40 - UTG with $6.25 - UTG+1 with $13.70 - MP1 with $13.55 - MP2 with $5.60 - MP3 with $12.35 - CO with $8.85
index.pl

Blinds: $0.00/$0.00
Site: pokerstars
* - Dealt to UTG+1:K♦ A♦
* - Sklansky group 1
Preflop:
**- 1 players fold.
* - UTG+1 raises $0.30 to $0.40
**- 1 players fold.
* - MP2 raises $0.80 to $1.20

Yeh thats a hard one, In my experience that sort of re-raise at $10NL is usually a good pair. Its hard to fold AK suited, I would probably call and take it from there. Problem is you are probably going to miss the flop and check, and he is going to probably c-bet. ;-D

See a flop, c-bet any flop with 2 diamonds or a Q on it. Possibly check-raise the Q if he c-bets enough. Since his pair is probably QQ or less, and there's likely to be overs on the flop, it'll be a little bit fearful if you're giving him action with overs.

I don't follow why bet at a flop with a Q? Are we representing AQ or QQ in hopes that he has AK/JJ/TT?

My concern is his range if, as I'm guessing, he knows what he's doing, and if he gives me credit for knowing what I'm doing from early position, then my range for him is AK/JJ+, so I guess betting at a Q high flop might fold half the hands (AK/JJ).

I just hate calling 3 bets from OOP, and I'm not inclined to 4 bet AK unless I have a reason to suspect the guy is LAG or a bad player.

I think you're thinking too much into how players play at 10$ NL, and his 3-betting range at least includes TT, maybe 99, and possibly AQs.

Give that his range is a lot of pocketpairs, IMO, I'd be willing to c-bet a flop that likely contains an overcard to his pocketpair. If you're not going to 4-bet this preflop, and put yourself in the driver's seat on the flop, its probably a good idea to then open up the amount of flops that you'll c-bet on. You're against one opponent, so I don't think making a stab at this is a bad play.

There is some decent players at this level you know, NineLions says that this guy could have an idea of how to play properly and his VPIP is only 17, even if its only over 15 hands you can see the guy isn't a complete moron.

I like the idea of calling and just seeing the flop, if you don't hit it I would probably just check/fold.

That's exactly why we bluff him. He's a good player, so he has the ability to lay down hands if he thinks we have him beaten. Don't c-bet on the beginning calling stations, c-bet against the players who are tight, and know that a bet from another tight player often means you have something.
