So interesting situation I was just in. Basically no reads on the villain. He is 66/33/.5 through all of 6 hands. How often is this a villain overplaying a weak ace? And can I then come back over the top of him?

call him out

I'm sorry, what sort of small blind flat-calls and then pushes?
I can think of only two things - weak pair (and you're getting better than a coinflip, so call), or outright steal (definitely call).
He's loose, he made a really strange move OOP PF: I think you have to put your hand ahead of his range and call.

zebranky, he didn't push, he re-raised a third of his stack.

phatjose, against an unknown, I think this is a pretty easy fold. Make a note, and see if he does any more crazy moves that would label him a maniac. There's too good of a chance that he is slowplaying a strong hand, was hoping you would raise, and you're dominated or crushed. You've only invested 3 big blinds, move on to the next hand and keep an eye on him.

Fold. He looks like he's trying to get all of his money in.
I'd guess he has K/K or Q/Q, as your A/J makes A/A and J/J less likely.

I suppose he could do with with A/K, but even then you're dominated anyway.

Anyway, I don't see the typical player doing this with any hand that doesn't have you beat. A/J isn't that good of a hand.

instafold vs a wide range that i have given him, i doubt he is even 3 betting this wide, but its still an instafold against an unknown.

Well pokerstove shows its closer than i thought, but its still a fold

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.614% 38.80% 04.82% 78393266 9730142.50 { AhJs }
Hand 1: 56.386% 51.57% 04.82% 104198321 9730142.50 { 55+, A9s+, KQs, ATo+, KQo }

If he bets 3 bets less, then its different, but its such a huge bet, flat calling is the worst option and do we really want to get our stack in with a,j? No, therefore folding is the only option imo

Well I ended up folding, since I really didn't have much invested in this pot compared to what his massive over bet was. He showed QQ. What I was curious about is why anyone would play QQ like this. I can understand wanting to slow play and trap, but it seems to me you would lose value by coming over the top like this. Not to mention by limping, the BB might just check right behind since he would literally have ATC in this situation. It would seem to me that you would have a hard time extracting value being OOP and not really being able to narrow down your opponent's range until the turn.
