Villain is 90/39/2,3(115 hands-his river Aggro stats are 5) but he is surprisingly tight post flop, and usualy folds flop/turn.
He has maked a few failed bluff recently and sucked out to build his nice 400BB stack.
Im 14/11/1,7 and been involved in a few big pots with villain with him usualy backing out on the flop or turn.

Of course you call! I dont think that hes calling your bets with straight draw, you got three of a kind there which is still strong hand.. Call! I think that he have J Q, or K J. How went the hand?

Against this dude you are calling all day long. His range includes any A or anything really ... he needs a 9 to beat you but outside of JJ, TT, and AA you got him beat.

I put this into pokerstove for you to determine your equity for the river ... your 88 is over his range with 80% equity. Call.

His 3 and 4bet stats are in the double digits so im not worried about JJ,TT,AA.
A9,K9 and KQ are far more likely holdings imo....

Can any one make case for raising the river? i know its wa/wb but villain is 90/39 after all.....

I actually really like a raise here sindri, maybe something like $13-$14 ish because a 90/39 is going to make a lot of crying calls here with lots of two pairs, maybe even TPGK...

just to clarify here, wa/wb doesnt apply to the river( and imo is extremely over applied in general). You are obviously either have a better or worse hand, there is no catching up on the river.

This is not a fold here unless you have a lot of history and he only does this with nuts. Raising really depends on previous actions. If he usually shuts down then I probably just call this. We really only get calls from 2 pair hands and we are deep so I just call. There are enough missed flush draws here that I think you still call though.

I like a call on the end. I dunno, in this spot obv you're wishing you put in a raise and got some more value, but I think calling is a fiiiiiiine line.

Call. Like someone posted b4 you have 80% equity against his range. I think he shows up with a lot of two pair hands here, or maybe just a big Ace.
