Villian is a relative unknown, stats around the 60/10 but over a minute sample (20-30 hands) so not really to be considered accurate. Also some brief notes on me, not been able to play much poker at all this month, but what I have played ive been running pretty badly. Decided to move to 6max and Im playing well, but getting some pretty rough beats (this isnt one of them). The c-bet on that flop is pretty bad considering how drawy it is. I then premo-ejaculate my chips into the pot after hitting my card on the river without really thinking about it (tired, too many tables ect). Im expecting a ear-bashig over this, I know I should really check-fold flop but meh, ignoring that how would you play the river??

I don't think betting the flop is that bad, it's just much more thin. You'd have to follow up with some barrels though imo. Turn is a pretty bad card but you might even want to value bet against a flush draw and to get some FE against a 4 or something like 77.

Love the river shove, he's terrible and will look you up with any ace, ten, and occasionally a queen. Overshoving rivers for value is huge, I can't overstate that.

Au contrere, mon frere. At least in my eyes. I'm not great with numbers, but it's simply an EV calculation. In short, you'll get called less often, but the times you do get called you're winning huge, so your EV for a push will be much greater than your EV for a smaller raise.

So basically even if you expect to get called way less often, it'll still yield a higher expected value than raising most of the time.

I do it all the time:

I want to stress that your shove on that board is a little dicey though against a 'normal' opponent. The guy you're up against seems really fishy so I expect him to pay off the range I listed before, but other players might not stack so light, so a raise-fold might be better.
