This interesting hand turned up at the casino earlier today and its the first time id been in a situation like it so i thought id open it up to rest of cc.

The two villains in this hand are the ultimate calling stations, Id imagine stats would tell me they both have vp$ip of over 80%, both also call flop bets whatever they have looking for runner runner. If they have no pair and no draw by the turn they do fold however. They play virtually any two and go to showdown with any pair.

I have more of a loose passive image at the table since these two calling stations were destroying my LAG game when i started at table but i was finding most profit by limping in with any pairs, suited connectors and jt+ knowing i was getting paid if i connected in the smallest way. This plan had been working succesfully, but i was still raising preflop with high pairs. The rest of the table was very tight so it was generally me and the villains in most pots.

There isnt much to analyse in this hand except for the river btw

Hero (£120)
Villain 1 (£150)
Villain 2 (£83)

Blinds £0.50/£1

Villain 1 is in BB
Hero is in CO
Villain 2 is Button

Dealt to hero [:6d4: :6s4: ]

5 players fold
Hero calls £1
Villain 2 calls £1
1 player folds
Villain 1 checks

Flop [:8d4: :7c4: :8c4: ]

Villain 1 checks
Hero checks
Villain 2 checks

Turn [:8h4: ]

Villain 1 checks
Hero bets £1.50
Villain 2 calls
Villain 1 calls

River [:7s4: ]

Villain 1 bets £3
Hero calls £3 --------- called on the basis he was probably trying to
swindle the pot away
Villain 2 raises all in
Villain 1 calls
Hero???????

Do we call here assuming we are splitting it? Im guessing villain 1 doesnt have quads since he probably would have chucked his remaining stack in at the end if he did so what our action.

I imagine this wont have much discussion and will probably be a bit boring but i was just intrigued as to what others would do

I fold this all day long, too much at stake here imo. Your playing the board, villains are loose calling stations who could easily have an overpair for a bigger boat. No point at all in calling to, at best split a 3 way pot.

ok well this got about as much attention i expected. Fwiw, i did fold and the two villains flipped cards over and both played the board. A few people at the table however couldnt believe i folded, so i was just wondering if there is anyone here who would have called as i wanted to know why they would have

Well if there were a few people at your table who couldnt believe you folded... I would love to be in that game :D.

I'd have folded also. At best you're getting your £5.50 back. At worst you're losing your remaining £114.50. I agree with Jagsti, if the other players think you should of called that it's a game I wouldn't mind being in :)
