Table is sort of on the passive side... my image is fairly TAG, have only shown down good hands. No huge read on Count, except I have seen him limp EP with small-medium pairs but also with K9o, Q8o type junk, haven't seen him limp-re-raise or otherwise limp with a big hand.

Like? No like?

No like - there's no need to play 32 at a 9-handed table. Although if you are going to play it, you should of course raise like you did.

Well, it's gutsy to say the least :)

I think for me, 32 is too low to make this play. At least with something like 67s, it can result in some strong hands. Even two pair/trips with 32 is going to be a little bit on the weak side. Not only that, but we've still got 4 to act behind us and aren't even guaranteed the button...I dunno, I'm liking this less and less the more I think about it.

Ya...your hand's way too weak for me...I'd wait for 55+ or like 56s+ minimum to make this play. I think any decent player will know this is obviously not AA/KK or whatever, and might play back with a medium pair or big ace.

Maybe I'm just too soft to try plays this ballsy, but that's me :)

I agree that I don't particularly like doing this with as low as 32s, but I was looking for a spot, because players had been putting a lot of dead money out there. Also between the table's passiveness and my image being tight enough, I was pretty much certain I was not going to get played back at without a really legitimate hand. I'm pretty sure a medium pair would have only called and I could have taken the pot from them the majority of the time.

A bit more in my defense: it was actually 8 handed; seat 4 had just sat in, and was not dealt. So I was on the CO... not "guaranteed" the button, but pretty damn close. It gets kind of obvious if I only do this on the button.

That being said, I'm still not sure if I like it either, which is why I posted it :)

i do this occasionally. you either take the dead money, are checked to on the flop and take the money on the flop, or set your image up as a MANIAC or some such and get paid off later. not to mention sometimes when you flop a monster and they either have a 2nd best hand or try to steal the pot.

With the button and blinds to act and a possible big pair limiping to re-raise... I don't like it.
