Villain is a 25/7/6.5 with only 14% WTSD, so a bit passive pre and very aggressive post flop. I'm 16/13/3 but i somehow doubt he knows that.

Do we fold/call/raise river? Comments on line?

I think the call down is okish but I'd rather raise flop and look to get it in against this guy. Maybe a small river value raise since the flush missed?

I believe I would just call down here.

Not sure he's stupid enough to play for stacks with ace rag, tbh. Maybe i give him to much respect? But if so, when we get it in on the flop we're up against two pairs, sets or nice draws. Don't think it's a range i like to flip with.

Also, super aggro villain will keep on firing barrels with air if we play passively but we get no more value from it when we raise.

TBH, the main thing is that i'm still always surprised when people donk into me and i have a really hard time putting them on a range.

It's a guy who's playing too many hands and playing them too strongly. Reads are pretty important here though. I guess as played call the river since AQ got there.

You are getting pretty great odds here, I dont expect to win this usually but enough to call for sure. I dont think a raise does much good here though as not many worse will call. I know you just started at 100nl you have enough hands on this guy to rely on 14% or is it just 1/7?

As played, I probably just call. I'd also raise the flop, making your decisions later much easier.

FYP

Calling down here seems best. Raising any street allows a bluffy villain to fold lots of hands he'd bet all the way if we just call or he'll push all in leaving us in a tough spot.

Calling the flop is pretty standard, if hes very aggro post then this is perfect time to raise turn, just calling turn here is dangerous imo... you can let him do the work for you, if he flats your turn bet then it screams draw especially this scrub w/ 25/7

Kinda hard to put him on a range here though, like as played though its easy snapcall on river, pointless to raise now as you will not get called by weaker holdings.

Hero calls $22
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Villain shows [5s 8s] a pair of Fives
Hero shows [Kh As] a pair of Aces
Hero wins the pot ($98) with a pair of Aces

Probably the bottom of his range. :D

I'm very confident it was the best line against 85s, but just calling down feels weird, so i wanted to check with you guys if it looked fine without knowing the end result too.

Thanks for the comments.
