Villain is 27/7/.5 over a tiny 15 hands.

Is this a decent spot for a second barrel? It probably folds out small pocket pairs, 6x and 3x hands, and it either folds or charges flush draws most of which i'm decently ahead. So it this better than taking a free card ?

Assuming villain calls your turn bet and checks to you on the river. Are there any cards other than A,K, or J that you are willing to triple barrel? Do you have any bluff outs?

I don't think so. If called, on river i'll bet AKJ for value and rely on the showdown value of my AK high hand otherwise. It's not weak enough for a bluff, imo, as it would still beat a lot of unimproved drawing hands.

i don't mind a 2nd barrel here. it's marginal enough that i wouldn't definitively say one is better than the other, but i'd mix it up. i think i slightly favor firing again

you've got some equity and a kind of neat thing about it is that if you do actually get c/r'd it almost always means that an A or K would've been no good as an out for you. so the rare time that happens you're mostly only losing your 9% chance at the nuts. if he c/c's, your outs will be clean fairly often, with a few exceptions

I do enjoy the firing of the second barrel, yes. That's a good flop for him to peel under-pairs with, and we can always check back the river and beat busted draws. Only issue is that this guy is a total station...

I think this is a perfect board for firing a second barrel on.

I've stopped playing AK for showdown value, and I think that's served me well. After my last session with Alan, I'm basically bluffing with everything that's worse than third pair, and often with better hands than that. Apparently people are really good at folding rivers. Who knew.

This is basically the second best card next to a jack to double barrel (that doesn't give you a made hand). The only problem is the FD which won't fold, but in reality you actually ahead of FDs, so you're actually value betting them...so I guess that's not a problem.
