Whats my plan for the rest of this hand? Folding seems pretty weak imo, but 4betting this and flat calling seem pretty ugly too.

are you playing 100nl or 200nl?

i opened much wider at 100nl (KJ UTG and stuff) and it was nice and profitable, but i think when i moved to 200nl i started doing things like folding AQ/AJ UTG simply because playing OOP gets so much tougher once the regs get better. iirc, the guy we're facing here is a reg as well, so i really hate this spot, and try to avoid it altogether.

This is a somewhat goofy spot, but when you look at it...what do you really think he has? The only two hands that he might actually flat here that beat you are KT and AQ---if he is competent at all he's 3 betting JJ+ as well as most likely doing the same with AK. So, he most likely probably has the nuts or nothing...tough call---what'd you end up doing?

Board's drawy, I don't mind stacking with top & bottom here. I think I 3-bet shove this. It does reek though. Just figure villain would be 3-betting pretty much everything that beats us.

newsflash: people don't 3bet things like AQ/JJ as often as you think at 100nl fullring (esp regs)

Man, you nerds have gotta stop playing full ring :p

So are we folding to this flop raise? Cuz if so I'm gonna vomit. I suppose we could call and raise all in on a blank turn, since draws will lose a lot of their equity. But I think there's just too many crappy turns that can hit to make this all that profitable.

I seriously couldn't comment on this hand rationally b/c I'm running terra-bad at 100nl fr. FWIW this could possibly be a fl dr. I know I would be r/r with a fl dr on that board. But that is your only hope tbh, I dont think he has a set as he would deffo 3-bet pf. Most likely though he has flat called w/KT. We do have some outs, so the amount of times he does this with a fl dr, I think I prolly push here and then watch him turn over KT, like they always have it!

IME: villain here always has it. i generally fold preflop, otherwise, i guess i might call and then c/rai turn? or something?

this is why i quit fullring. everyone always has the nuts.

I like pokerstove so I figured I'd take a stab at what villain's range was.

Hand 0: 52.719% { AcJh }
Hand 1: 47.281% { JdJs, AQs, KdJd, KTs, QJs, JdTd, T9s, QJo }

I only included 1 instance of JJ but even it should be discounted, and only 3 instances of AQ, since those are usually getting 3-bet preflop. If you get rid of the QJ hands...

Hand 0: 36.177% { AcJh }
Hand 1: 63.823% { JdJs, AQs, KdJd, KTs, JdTd, T9s }

And if we keep that nitty range, and hit a blank turn...

Hand 0: 38.986% { AcJh }
Hand 1: 61.014% { JdJs, AQs, KdJd, KTs, JdTd, T9s }

We don't gain a whole lot of equity in the pot by drawing to a blank turn. With the money that's already in there, I think we gotta get it in on the flop. If you think he's calling with KTos, then we can probably include some other junk in his range that will even things out.

I really had no idea what to do here, probably took the worst possible line c/calling all the way to river. Didn't help that this was right at the end of my 500 dollar downswing today. Quit right after this hand

yea ugly spot, but, as weak as this sounds given your line, you probably should have at least folded the river even if you couldnt' fold flop/turn and wanted to c/c since lets face it there isn't a hand on earth that you beat on the river.

Ugh. Nasty from both sides, especially given no reads either way. Although from his side the fact that you didn't shove the flop over his raise at least told him you didn't have AA/QQ/JJ, and you're not likely to open with KT/QJ from UTG+1.
